Born in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, I graduated from the American University in Dubai (BFA '00) and founded Saifee Interiors in Dubai in 2001. In 2014 I graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with an MS in Interior Design.

In collaboration with other international designers, I worked on award-winning commercial projects for over fifteen years and have been responsible for the translation of the design concept into end user production. From programming and design development to construction administration, I have managed the various phases of the design process on a range of projects; inspiring and motivating others whilst translating some complex design language. My work is meticulous and I possess a strong sense of project ownership and pride in its craftsmanship, and I have proven consistently that the quality of a product exists in tandem with the aesthetic values of its concept.

A thorough understanding of the design process and the opportunity to live and work in different countries have given me a breadth of inspiration to draw from and allowed me to immerse myself in my passion for design. My work has been showcased at many exhibitions and galleries in New York City, Copenhagen and Dubai. Among my achievements as an international designer are:

  • ICFF - chair design selected to represent Danish Institute for Study Abroad

  • Dubai Art Week - chair design showcased at the dXb Store at Art Dubai, Design Days Dubai and Sikka Art Fair

  • STORY Pushcart - Pratt team designer; product design selected for fabrication
